Meet Reverend Justin Haskew

The feeling of hiring a family friend, with a professional's experience!

Don’t leave your special day to an amateur – Go with a Pro!

Hey there! My name is Justin Haskew, I’m a recent UGA Grad (Go Dawgs!) and now a full-time wedding officiant. When I’m not at one of the 150 weddings I’m doing per year, I’m probably in Sanford Stadium or Disney World. Read on to learn more about my background and how I got here!

Getting to Know Me…

I grew up in the small town of Dahlonega, about an hour north of Atlanta. I spent most of my childhood watching football, mostly my beloved Dawgs, and taking trips with my parents, mostly to Disney World. You can usually find me in Orlando or Athens if I’m not busy.

In 2017 I moved out to Athens and attended my dream school, the University of Georgia.

In early 2018, after spending 4 years helping my girlfriend (now wife!) and her parents at their wedding venue, I asked if I could get ordained and start officiating weddings on weekends to help put me through school.

In 2022 I graduated with a degree in Applied Biotechnology, but as I stepped into my career field and started to move on, I immediately felt something missing…

I realized that over the last 4 years, I had fallen in love with what I did. I always tell people I never “work” a day in my life! I attribute this to growing up going to Disney so much. I love trying to create magical moments for other people, and what better chance to do that then being a wedding officiant?

Now, I not only have over 6 years of experience under my belt, but I also still bring a splash of youth to a field that is typically run by… older gentlemen. And I love getting to hear and be a part of all these wonderful, magical love stories!

Yes, my life is just as chaotic as it seems. I am part family-business owner (Small Wedding Experts), I run my own business here, and on top of that I’m obsessed with travel AND family time. Oh, and did I mention I have two dogs and a cat? But I wouldn’t have it any other way. If ya wanna know anything else, just ask!

What You Can Expect From Me

Fast, Straightforward Communication

Half the struggle with booking vendors is communication! With me, that won’t be a problem. I take pride in responding quickly so that I can answer all of your questions as soon as possible!

I got into the wedding business as a student trying to make some money, but once I graduated I realized it was something I love to do. This is why I now do weddings full time, 7 days a week. You will see my passion for making every wedding my best one yet from the moment we come in contact. That drive is unmatched and will be evident in your ceremony!

A lot of people settle for just hiring some old guy to ensure they are experienced. As someone who has both performed and worked a lot of weddings, let me say that age should not be the indicator! With that being said, you definitely don’t want an amateur running your big day either. With my experience (I’ve been doing ceremonies for over six years) I bring a splash of youth, something unique in this business.

My Approach

To start things off, lets get to know each other. Send me an email, text me or call me, and tell me about yourself! Let me know what date you’re looking at, how many people you expect to attend and where your ceremony will be (I can help you find your perfect venue, just ask!). Then, I’ll get back to you as soon as possible with my availability and we can see if I work for you! You can ask me any questions you may have – I actually encourage it – there is no such thing as a bad question.

Once you put down your deposit and reserve your date, it is time to plan! I’ll give you access to the custom Ceremony Builder where you can script the entire ceremony to your wedding by choosing from a variety or pre-made choices. You can also cut and paste in specific verbage you may prefer if it is not on the builder! If you’re stumped on your vows, yes, I even have choices for that.

As your special day approaches we will have a one on one meeting via phone chat or in person (if possible) to make sure there are no questions left unanswered. I’ll confirm everything is set to go and all that’s left to do is get married!

If you need recommendations for lodging, dining or venues feel free to ask! I also have a preferred photographer if you are looking for one. In the picture to the side here you’ll meet Delaney Durham. We’ve been together for over 5 years now and along with her parents she got me into the wedding business! She is an amazing photographer and we work together quite well, so if you would like to know more about booking her as well let me know! You can also view her portfolio here.

Don’t Wait Any Longer.
